Anointing Oil

ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE OIL IN THEIR LAMPS WILL HAVE THE FIRE TO SEE HIM COMING. I wanted to share the experience I have had many times of angels anointing me while I sleep-for His purposes. Since 2012 and the visions started happening of Jesus soon return I began experiencing angels laying a hand on my head and oil pouring down my forehead. When I experience this it is in the spirit and I can see the oil is gold. I believe He anoints all of us with oil as scripture says He does. He has been speaking to me about having oil in my lamp for Jesus return. Zechariah 4:1-3 speaks of golden oil⬇️

And the angel who was speaking with me came back and awakened me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep. He said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl [for oil] on the top of it and its seven lamps on it with seven spouts belonging to each of the lamps which are on the top of it. And there are two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left side [supplying it continuously with oil].”

Zechariah 4:12-4

And a second time I said to him, “What are these two olive branches which are beside the two golden pipes by which the golden oil is emptied?” And he answered me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” Then he said, “These are the two sons of fresh oil [Joshua the high priest and Zerubbabel the prince of Judah] who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth [as His anointed ones].”

1. God is the true source of anointing (authority comes from Him)

Psalm 23:5

“You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

➡️ God Himself is the anointer.

Psalm 89:20

“I have found David my servant; with my sacred oil I have anointed him.”

➡️ The oil is called God’s sacred oil, not merely human ritual.

2. Anointing = God’s Spirit empowering a person

1 Samuel 16:13

“So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon David.”

➡️ Oil + anointing = Holy Spirit empowerment

Isaiah 61:1

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me…”

➡️ Anointing is explicitly tied to God’s Spirit.

3. Authority to rule and lead comes through God’s anointing

1 Samuel 10:1

“Has not the LORD anointed you ruler over his inheritance?”

➡️ Anointing establishes divine authority.

2 Samuel 12:7

“This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel…’”

➡️ God claims the anointing as His action.

4. God’s anointing brings protection and legitimacy

Psalm 105:15

“Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”

➡️ God defends those He anoints.

5. The anointing is not merely physical—it teaches and abides

1 John 2:20

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.”

1 John 2:27

“The anointing you received from him remains in you…”

➡️ Anointing is spiritual, internal, and from God Himself.

6. Jesus fulfills and embodies God’s anointing

Acts 10:38

“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power…”

➡️ Oil symbol → Holy Spirit reality

Luke 4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me…”

➡️ Jesus confirms Isaiah 61 as fulfilled in Him.

7. Oil as a symbol of God’s presence and consecration

Exodus 30:30

“Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them so they may serve me as priests.”

➡️ Oil sets people apart for God’s service.

Zechariah 4:6

“‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.”

This oil He has placed on me comes from INTIMACY with Him. I spend a lot of time worshipping Him and praying and reading the word of God. This intimacy is necessary to be saved. Everyone who is saved is anointed for their calling. The enemy wants us to be busy and distracted so we do not spend the time needed to develop closeness with The Father.

I pray we all take this calling to be close to God very seriously. It is a huge privilege to be called to His side and one I do not take lightly. He is my healer, redeemer and deliverer. His oil has set me free from what this world focuses on and cares so much about. Only God can give us eyes to see the TRUTH. Even Jesus said it to His disciples.
